Brendalyn has experience successfully defending Fortune 500 clients in a wide range of employment matters, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She has represented clients in state and federal courts as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and various state agencies.
Brendalyn also focuses on counseling clients in order to prevent litigation and regularly provides training on a variety of employment topics including sexual harassment, employee discipline and termination and FMLA issues. In addition, Brendalyn conducts workplace investigations on highly sensitive and confidential matters for her clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Brendalyn clerked for the Honorable Sonja F. Bivins, United States District Court, Southern District of Alabama. She also worked as an Employee Relations Advisor at Pep Boys and was an associate at the employment boutique Mack & McLean and at McGuire Woods, where she exclusively practiced labor and employment law.
